We have hit the half way mark of season 2019, who wins it from here?

Quick 1/2 season rankings

Surprise Packets So Far: Alvie

Max Says "The Swans for me have been the biggest surprise for the season, with a huge number of key departures in the off season i thought they would slide down the ladder, yet they have worked their way further up. Hats off to Joe Dare and Angus Uwland whom seem to have the playing group wanting to play a fast paced game style that's exiting to watch and also winning games"

Season Disappointments So Far: Western Eagles

"I really thought they would have been 1-2 wins on the board at this point in time. Their list i feel is stronger than some sides around them - but have failed to close out games. Once they achieve their first win - i feel they could get on a role, when that is.....who knows"

Premiership Favorites: Lorne

"When their on, their scoring power is hard to stop. On a big ground like the Central Reserve it's hard seeing them being stopped. South Colac have done a remarkable job to be in the position their in at the moment (2 games clear on top) however their achilles heel is the Central Reserve which they have struggled to play their best footy on"

Top Five Predictions:

South Colac, Lorne, Birregurra, Alvie and Apollo Bay in that order.

Mahoney Medal Prediction: Brent Macleod (Apollo Bay)

"He has played all 9 games and has kicked 28 goals playing as a midfielder, i know a lot gets spoken about how good Brent is, but he is having a remarkable season. We haven't seen a midfielder competently dominate a season like this for a since Cam Wright did for Birregurra back in 2011"

Best Recruit: Josh Goonan (South Colac)

"Josh has been exactly what South Colac needed, a bloke who can fill in any key position role when needed. He has been able to go in the ruck, down back and also up forward. He has played 8 games, kicked 8 goals and has featured in the best players four times and is one of the reasons why the Roos are on top of the ladder"

Most Improved Player : Jim Abraham (Otway Districts)

"Jim so far has had a terrific season and has the locals down at Gellibrand excited. He has featured in their best players 5 times and looks like he has taken his game to a whole new level"
