Great Ocean Road Caravan Parks Backflip On Decision To Not Allow Melbournians

Yesterday, the Great Ocean Road Coast Committee backflipped on their decision to refuse guests coming from coronavirus affected Melbourne suburbs at their managed caravan parks.

The caravan parks that would've been impacted include the GORCC managed Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park, the Torquay Foreshore Caravan Park & the Anglesea Family Caravan Park.

Those guests that would've been refused access or had their bookings cancelled were residents of Hume, Casey, Brimbank, Moreland, Cardinia and Darebin attempting to have a holiday at the aforementioned caravan parks.

In a statement, the GORCC said;

"We made the decision based on what we thought was best for our staff, guests and local communities.

"We have now updated our decision based on advice from the Chief Health Officer and will welcome all guests, including our Twelve Month Permit holders back into our parks.

"But please remember, if you feel unwell you should stay at home. If you have symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19), however mild, you should get tested. It’s up to all of us to make this work."
