Eurydice Dixon honoured
People in Colac have paid their own public tribute to murdered Melbourne woman Eurydice Dixon by holding a candlelight vigil.
There were dozens of people standing silently in Memorial Square on Monday night, supporting the right to feel safe in public.
It was one of several candlelight vigils held across the country.
The young woman was found dead in Melbourne's Princes Park last week.
A 19-year-old Broadmeadows man has since been charged with her rape and murder.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says women must be safe everywhere and we must ensure we have a culture of respect for women.
