Some notable funding announcements include $120,000 for an Ultra-Light Tanker for the Otway and Pomborneit CFA's each.

The Wye River Surf Life Saving Club will also benefit, with over $15,000 for minor facility improvements.

“Over the last year – throughout bushfires, storms and a global pandemic – Victorians have seen the incredible work that our emergency service volunteers do every day to serve and support their communities,” Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney said.

“These important projects will give our hardworking CFA, LSV, MSAR and VICSES volunteers in Western Victoria the equipment and amenities needed to effectively carry out their duties,” Ms. Tierney said.

“I’d like to thank all of our volunteer groups for their hard work and congratulate the successful applicants in the 2019-20 round of VESEP grants.”

The investment is part of the Government’s 2020-21 Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP) which is providing more than $14 million to 240 grant recipients across Victoria.
