The Colac Otway Shire is encouraging the immunisation program that occurs annually around this time of year, the 2020 vaccinations happening in the next month.

CEO Peter Brown said the program is still running, and was more important than ever. Council were taking measures to ensure social distancing in compliance with government guidelines.

"Opportunities on Thursday April the 2nd at 10.30am at the Colac Civic Hall. We will have social distancing measures in place. We've moved it into the Civic Hall from where it normally is, so there is a lot more space there," Mr Brown.

He also urged people who were unwell to not attend on the day.

"We're really urging and encouraging people to move forward with the vaccination program. If you're unwell or your child is unwell, as per normal with immunisations don't attend or don't bring your child along."
