Acting CEO Ian Seuren said Council were pleased refurbishment works are set to recommence at Winifred Nance Kindergarten.
“Council remains committed to getting staff, students and families back to the kindergarten as soon as we can,” Mr Seuren said, “We’re disappointed there’s been a hold-up to the progress of work, however we’re keen for construction to recommence so we can get on with the job of providing a great, new, refurbished facility for the community.
“Our friends at Colac West Primary School have been fantastic in helping us to minimise disruption to the Winifred Nance students providing use of their multipurpose room until the end of the year if necessary.
“We anticipate the Winifred Nance project will be finished by early November, with the kindergarten community able to relocate from their temporary home at Colac West Primary back to Winifred Nance before the end of the year."
