A Melbourne man in his 20s has suffered a fractured leg, after he collided with a truck late last week on his motorcycle in a roadworks zone on the Port Campbell-Cobden Road.

It was the second motorcycle incident in a matter of days in the Great Ocean Road region.

On Saturday a man was airlifted to hospital after crashing his motorcycle into a tree at Wattle Hill.

A rescue operation was required to retrieve the 32-year-old man after he rolled 10 metres down an embankment.

The incidents have prompted authorities to warn motorcyclists to be extra cautious along tight, winding roads and around roadworks.
