Police continue search for Brodie Cooper

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are continuing to search for Brodie Cooper, who is known in the Ararat region, following a shooting in Melton South last month.

A warrant has been issued for the 28-year-old’s arrest in relation to the shooting.

Police were called to a property on Moss Street in Melton South about 10am on May 23, following a dispute where threats were made and a firearm was discharged.

A 47-year-old Melton South man and a 43-year-old Melton South woman who were present at the time were not injured.

It’s believed all parties were known to each other.

Police have released an image of Cooper in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his current whereabouts.

He is described as 188 centimetres tall, solid build, short brown hair and brown eyes with facial tattoos and a number of ear piercings.

Detectives have also released CCTV showing Cooper leaving his property in Melton South on a motorcycle following the shooting.

Cooper is known to frequent the Melton area and police have information that he may be travelling to the Ararat and Hamilton areas.

Police also appealed for information on his whereabouts last month after a warrant was issued for unrelated assault offences.

Members of the public should call triple-zero if they see Cooper and if anyone has information on his whereabouts they are asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
