Police Appeal For Info After Fence Posts Laid Across Terang Train Tracks

Police are appealing for any information from the public after a VLine train collided with fence posts that were 'laid' over the tracks at Terang on Tuesday night.

The VLine train, which was traveling on the Warrnambool line did not derail after colliding with the posts, and no injuries were recorded from the incident.

Vline staff contacted Police after the incident at around 8.30pm on Tuesday night and an investigation is now underway.

It's believed the posts were placed their manually.

In a statement on VLine's facebook page, Police and VLine say they're "appalled by the reckless behavior and request any members of the public come forward with any information they might know".
